Challenge: To create a mark for a voice-over actor that is, first, distilled so as to communicate quickly and simply, second, distinctive to set the client apart from her field, and third, versatile to scale easily for all potential branding and marketing opportunities.
Approach: The process began with a few questions to the client regarding the services she offers and her ideal prospect. The questions also included what she would like prospects to feel when they engage with the business, and what objects, colors, etc., to include or exclude. I studied the competition and developed numerous sketches.
Result: A simple mark, distilled down to a most basic tool of the trade - a microphone. The mark is distinctive and sets the client apart from her field. The mostly symmetrical logo appears grounded and settled, and utilizes calm blues, communicating that she is pleasant, professional, and trustworthy. The logo scales easily for various marketing touchpoints, from business cards to bags to billboards. It includes bespoke lettering created for this project.
